newly renovated site in development
various spots in different locations, from beachfront (noisy) to park (shady, quiet). Great for families and dog owners (CAUTION: watch out for blue-green algae situation in the lake). New sanitary facilities, great SUP offerings (yoga, full moon, ..), good restaurant/kiosk, store minimally stocked,… More

Good Campsite, nice sanitary facilities
Camping is okay and nice for itself, but you definitely should not stay by the lake; the public meadow is just noise and shouting from children and teenagers. In the evenings, there are young people. Very unfortunate for people who want to spend their vacation here. The sanitary facilities are new a… More

ADAC Campcard not known here
With or without Campcard, which is not known here, there is a 20% discount in the off-season. There were still many workers on the site today working to finish by May. They only wanted to give us the highest category for 59 francs. That’s why we continued over the Swiss border.

Price-performance ratio no longer matches
What a pity, we were often here in the past years, but with the inflated prices, this was definitely the last time. 250 francs for three nights!!!! Furthermore, there was no warm water in the evening for showering or washing dishes, the little shop is much smaller than before and completely overpric… More

What a shame, it used to be good. Unfortunately, many things are not right!!
Beautiful place but chaotic conditions, you can tell that most of the staff are not camping experts😩 otherwise they would behave differently on the very dusty road. Many campers also act like royalty.. Speed limits also apply to e-bikers 🛴. Several signals for walking speed need to be placed through… More

The Camping Erlach campsite in the small Swiss town of the same name impresses with its direct location on Lake Biel. It attracts water sports enthusiasts and families and is perfect for guests who want to relax in a family atmosphere surrounded by nature.
Depending on their personal preference, holidaymakers at Camping Erlach can book a pitch with a view of the lake, with a magnificent view of the Chasseral mountain or in the heart of the site. The campsite has a bathing lawn with direct access to the water. Active holidaymakers can explore Lake Biel by canoe or on a stand-up paddle board. The Erlach SUP centre offers the necessary equipment and courses. Sustainability is particularly important to the operators of Camping Erlach: the staff use electric vehicles and the site is powered exclusively by green electricity. The toilets are stocked with recycled paper and the shop mainly sells regional products. Camping Erlach also has a heart for children. The adventure playground is a favourite meeting place for the youngest guests. They can swing, balance and slide around the wooden play area.
Erlach is quite rightly known as the pearl of Lake Biel. The town is picturesquely situated between the 630 metre-high Jolimont and the clear waters of the lake. Anyone interested in the history of this charming holiday region in the canton of Bern should pay a visit to the museum. Nature lovers should plan a hike along the reed-lined heathland path, which is home to numerous birds. A hike of around an hour takes you to St Peter's Island: the lovely peninsula offers a sandy shoreline and romantic forest paths. Another natural wonder is the Tüfelsburdi. According to legend, the devil collected the granite blocks to build a castle. The rocks were probably the site of ritual ceremonies as early as the Neolithic period. Guests like to treat themselves to a glass of wine after a relaxing or action-packed day at Camping Erlach. It comes from the surrounding vineyards. Gourmets can learn interesting facts about the noble grapes on the Räblauskurve educational vineyard trail. Wine and other regional products are available in the shop directly on the campsite. In the morning, holidaymakers can pick up fresh croissants for breakfast. The food truck provides holidaymakers with fish and meat dishes as well as vegetarian options. The barbecue and fire pits are great for socialising, where holidaymakers can prepare meals together. Motorhome drivers can dispose of waste water on site and refuel with fresh water. Dogs are welcome at the campsite.
Camping Erlach offers the perfect conditions for a relaxing holiday by the beautiful Lake Biel. Diving into the cool water from the bathing lawn is just as much fun as hiking through the vineyards or enjoying a campfire with other guests.
